Mutual Funds - Saving Tax

Mutual funds explained with some comment on how to save tax.

ELSS = Tax Saver (Saving) Mutual Funds (Schemes)
You can invest upto one lakh in any ELSS scheme.

You should check if you really need to invest one lakh, because in all probability, your employer is already deducting PF from your salary.
In that case, your investments should be: 1 Lakh - (monthly PF deduction x 12)
PF = Provident Fund = Govt’s way of making people save from their salary.

This investment gets locked for 3 years (lock in period = 3 years).

That means that if you invest Rs. 3000 today, you will get it back only after three years from today.
That also means that if your are doing an SIP of Rs. 3000 every month, the three years are counted for every 3000 from the month they were invested.
SIP= Systematic Investment Plan = Fund’s way of saying “please invest in us regularly at a definite interval”.

Lock in period of 3 years is good, why?

…because that ensures that people can’t take out money for at least next 3 years.
… and that makes it easy for the funds to make more money for you.
… also this is better than locking your money away for 5 or 7 years (in other schemes - don’t worry about them if you don’t know).

Which fund to choose?

Choose a fund (search now: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=elss+funds) that has: -> a decent asset size and

-> and good two years performance (look at the rate of return in the last two years)

Frankly, every fund company has two or three Tax funds (or may be just one)
It’s better to keep your folios tight and invest in a Tax fund of the company where you already have funds.
Reason: tax funds generally are better than any other tax saver investment, so you should really not worry about choosing, too much.
Which option to choose?

Choose growth option. Don’t choose dividend re-investment. That’s because you really don’t want any more money to get locked again for three years.
So if you choose dividend re-investment, and the fund declares a dividend of Rs. 500 at the 29th month after your investment, that Rs. 500 per unit will get locked for three more years.
In effect, you will get back the re-invested money after another 36 months (in case the Govt. keeps lock-in as 3 years).
So, you get back the dividend money after 29+36 months of your original investment.

Options: Growth - this means that you won’t get any dividends, but your fund’s NAV will increase intrinsically with dividend declarations.
Options: Dividend Payout - this means that a dividend declaration will give you back cash in your account. Some times this makes sense.
Options: Dividend Re-investment - Any declaration will buy you new funds for whatever money you might have got paid. Stay clear of this one.
NAV: Net Asset Value - Fund’s way of saying “my one unit will cost you this (NAV) much.”

The best way to invest is using an SIP.

During April, calculate what your PF amount is (assuming your appraisal and stuff is over).
Multiply that by 12 and then deduct it from one lakh. There you go, you have an investment figure - X.
Divide X by 12, and decrease another figure Y from this new Z = X / 12.

This Y depends on your age. Y is directly proportional to [Your Age - 28].
Y is the money you should invest in a fixed return investment (like Fixed Deposit, National Saving Certificates or Public Provident Fund).
Y is totally your call, but should be quite less than Z.
Your total fixed return investment becomes Y x 12, and ELSS investment is (Z - Y) x 12.
Your SIP should be for an amount of (Z - Y), starting in April.

Falaknuma Palace is the ost famous palace of Hyderabad. The palace is situated on a 2000 feet hill. It was built in the year from 1883-1884 by the Nawad Vikarul Umra Bahadur, the prime minister of Hyderabad in those days. It was designed by an Italian Architect, the palace was purchased by the sixth nizam in 1897 to be used as the royal guest house.

Now, the Falaknuma Palace is a Taj property and is currently under a restoration process and is not open to tourists.

How does a lie detector work?

Lie detector, also knows as a polygraph, is generally used using interrogation by police.

The instrument works by recording our physiological functions such as blood pressure, heartbeat, respiration and perspiration. A pnuemograph tube is fastened around the subject's chest and a blood-pressure-pulse cuff is strapped around the arm. Psycho-galvanic skin reflex (electro-dermal response) and flow of current between different parts of the body are also measured.

Sensitive electrodes are used to pick up the impulses which are recorded on a moving graph paper. The parameters are recorded when a suspect answers questions put to him by an operator. The data is then used as a basis for deciding whether the person is lying or not.

When a person lies, the graph deviates from the normal shape in one or more of the body functions. Such changes occur due to our emotional response to telling a lie.

While most of the questions asked are interrelated, some are included to improve the test's accuracy. The questions are usually answered in ‘yes', ‘no' mode only.

The modern polygraph was first constructed in 1921 by John a. Lagoon, a medical student at the University of California, along with a police officer. His instrument was capable of continuously recording blood pressure, pulse and respiration. As it recorded these conditions simultaneously it was called a polygraph. Though this has been in use since 1924, it has not developed into a complete fool-proof system and is yet to be accepted judicially.

From this New Year 2009, everyone can send their complaints or information about a Terror through this SMS facility. When any Short message service(SMS) is sent to the number, operators at the control room will alert the concerned police station based on the information obtained through SMS.

Every Cell phone user who wants to send a SMS can send their message based on these various categories – the complaints can be anyone among Traffic, Terrorism, Women, Crime, and Others. The SMS sender should first enter the category then followed by their composed complaint/issue message. I hope this will be useful for those applying for loans.

Calculate your EMI using the following formula.

E = P x r x (1 + r)^n / ((1+r)^n -1)

Where P is the loan amount you have applied.

r is the rate of interest per month.

(If your interest rate is per annum or per day, convert to per month.

For example

if rate of interest is 2% per month, r = 2.

if rate of interest is 13% per annum, r = 13/(12*100) = 0.0108333333333 )

n is the tenure in months(duration u want to completely pay back the loan).

E is your monthly emi.

Please note that actually in addition to calculating the emi for your loan with value P equal to the loan amount you have requested, the banks will take the processing charge of x% of P, some fees for stamps, say Rs.y/-. Also please note that if you have signed any insurance form while signing the loan agreement, some extra z% of P will be added to E.i.e. your monthly emi. and Let L is the loan amount you will receive finally.

Therefore L = P - (x% of P + y + if there are some extra charges)

E = E + z% of P.

Gobi Manchurian

INGREDIENTS:

1 medium. cauliflower clean and broken into big florettes.
1 small bunch spring onoin finely chopped
2 tsp. ginger finely chopped
1 tsp. garlic finely chopped
1/4 cup plain flour
3 tbsp. cornflour
1/4 tsp. red chilli powder2 red chillies, dry
3 tbsp. oil1
1/2 cups water
1 tbsp. milk

METHOD:
Boil the florettes for 3-4 minutes in plenty of water, to which a tbsp. of milk has been added.Drain and pat dry on a clean cloth.Make thin batter out of flour and 2 tbsp.cornflour, adding 1/4 tsp. each of ginger and garlic and red chilli powder and saltto taste.Dip the florettes in the batter one by one and deep fry in hot oil. Keep aside.In the remaining oil, add remaining ginger, garlic and crushed red chilli and fry for a minute.Add the salt and spring onions.Stir fry for a minute. Add 1 1/2 cups water and bring to a boil.Add 1 tbsp. cornflour to 1/4 cup water and dissolve well.

Gradually add to the gravy and stir continuously till it resumes boiling.Boil till the gravy becomes transparent. Add florettes and soya sauce.Boil for two more minutes and remove.Serve hot with noodles or rice.Variations:Dry manchurian can be made by omitting the gravy.Make florettes as above and instead of adding water as above, add fried florettes, spring onions and soya ce at this stage.Sprinkle 1 tsp. cornflour on the florettes and stirfry for 2 minutes.Serve piping hot with toothpicks or miniforks and chilligarlic sauce or tomato sauce.Same procedure for veg. manchurian (with gravy or dry), but instead of using only cauliflower, use finely chopped mincedvegetables andbind with some cornflour or bread crumbs and make small lumps the size of a pingpong ball.

Fry as above and proceed as above.

Semiya kheer

Semiya kheer is perfect for every occasion. It can be served at traditional events or at modern parties. Semiya kheer preparation is so easy and fast that it can be prepared any day to spruce up a simple meal.
Preparation Time - 20 mins
Servings - 4 people

Ingredients
Milk 1 kg
Vermicelli 1 cup
Sugar 1 ½ cups
Ghee 1 tblsp
Raisins 2 tblsp
10 Almonds
Powdered ilaichi
Rose petals to garnish

Roast the vermicelli in ghee. Simultaneously put the milk for boiling. Once the vermicelli is ready, add it to milk. After the milk boils, put it on low flame and let it simmer. Keep stirring at regular intervals to avoid burning. Roast the raisins in minimal ghee so they become round balls. Chop the almonds. Add sugar, raisins, almonds, ilaichi to the kheer. Some people like it thick while some people prefer it thin. So keep an eye on the kheer and take it off the gas once you reach desired consistency. Pour it into a dish and let it cool before serving. Garnish it with rose petals.

Dahi ke Aloo

If there is curd in the fridge that is not being used up, let it be there for a couple more days till it becomes sour for dahi ke aaloo is a perfect dish to use it up. If the curd if not sour, you can add mango powder to enhance the taste of the dish.
Preparation Time - 30 mins
Servings - 4 people

Ingredients
6 potatoes
1 cup curd
Oil 1 tblsp
Zeera (cumin) 1 tsp
Hing (asafetida) 1 pinch
Haldi (turmeric) 1 tsp
Mango powder (amchur) 2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Salt 3 tblsp
Garam masala 1 tblsp
Water 2 cups

Boil the potatoes and peel off the jackets. Cut the potatoes into pieces and keep aside. In a pan, heat oil and add zeera and hing. Add the potatoes and fry them slightly. Mix the curd with water and blend properly. Add haldi, red chilli powder, mango powder and salt to it. Then pour this curd mix in the pan and bring it to boil. Simmer it on low flame for 5 minutes and take it off the flame. Add garam masala.

Tip: Instead of cutting the boiled potatoes, you can also mash them slightly with your hand to break them into small pieces.

Apple Cake - baked in cooker

Ingredients
3 eggs
2 1/2 cup flour (maida)
1 cup unsalted butter (or refined oil)
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup fresh apples (chopped finely)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Edible green color
1/2 cup milk (optional)

Blend sugar and salt in a mixer so that sugar melts completely. Add the eggs one by one to it then. Pour the mix into a bowl and add flour, salt, soda, baking powder, vanilla essence and apples and keep rolling it with a spoon till it reaches a pouring consistency. Add some milk to the batter if it is too thick. Grease the baking dish and pour the batter in it. Preheat the cooker for 5 mins. Put the baking dish in it and leave the cooker on sim for 1 hour.

I was sitting at home this weekend and there really was nothing to do…for a change…no chores, nothing! Suddenly I remembered all the coconuts lying in the house and I thought of trying out a new recipe. Now this is a cake I have designed myself. There is nothing fancy about it but I would suggest that you let it cool before digging in for best flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup maida

1 cup coconut, dessicated

1 tblsp baking powder

2 eggs

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup ghee

1 tblsp vanilla essence

Beat egg yplks, ghee and sugar together. Sieve maida and baking powder. In a bowl, mix in maida, baking powder, egg mixture. For pouring consistency, add a little milk. Add coconut powder and vanilla essence. Heat a cooker fro 5 mins. Grease a baking tin and pour the batter in it and bake for half an hour.

Vegetable Maggi

Ingredients
1 pack maggi
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1 onion, chopped
Oil

Salt and red chilli powder to taste.
Heat oil in a pan. Simultaneously, boil the maggi in another pan and add maggi masala to it. Fry onions in the oil till light pink. Now add cabbage and carrots to it and fry for 3-4 minutes till maggi is ready. Now add maggi to this veg mix and sprinkle salt and pepper over it and mix vigorously and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Serve with ketchup.

Tip: You can grate cheese into the maggi while it is being prepared to give it a subtle taste.

Dahi Vada

The thought of dahi vada conjures up images of soft cold vada in cold curd which melts when placed on the tongue. It was a favorite dish of my family with Mom looking for excuses to prepare it. The best part about dadi vada is that it can be prepared 2-3 days in advance of the occasion and keeps well for a couple of days later also.

Ingredients
200 gms urad dal
100 gms curd
Oil
Salt

Soak urad dal overnight. Drain the water and grind it in a mixer. Add a little salt to it. Since the curd will also have salt, make sure the salt added to vada compensates it. The consistency of the vada mixture should be such that it does not flow freely. Heat oil in a pan to fry the vada. Now comes the difficult part. Spread a wet muslin cloth on a rolling board. Wet the cloth with water. Place a small ball of vada mix on it and spread into a flat ball while making a hole in the middle. Lift the vada carefully and fry it in the oil till golden brown. Drop the fried vada into a pot of water till soft. Squeeze out the water and keep aside.
Lifting the vada off the cloth takes some practice. You can make the vada on your hand also. Wet the palm of your hand and prepare the vada on it for frying.
Mix curd with a little water to make it thin. Add a little salt and mix properly. Take a container with a flat base and pour a thin layer of curd in it. Put a layer of vada on it. Pour another layer of curd and then another layer of vada and so on till all the vadas are covered with curd. The vadas will soak the curd and become soft. Refrigerate. The left over curd can be used to garnish the dahi vada.
To serve, place 2 dahi vada on a plate. Pour a few spoonfuls of beaten curd over it. Add tamarind chutney and sprinkle white salt, black salt, red chilli powder and roasted zeera powder on it. Use aloo bhujia to top it off.

Tip: You can use ready-made vada mix also to directly prepare the vadas.

Ingredients

1 cup rice

1 potato, diced

1 onion, chopped

1 carrot, chopped

1/3 cup beans, chopped

1/3 cup green peas

Oil, Zeera and Hing to fry

Salt and Red chilli powder to taste

1 tblsp garam masala

Soak the rice in water for 20 mins. Heat oil in a cooker and add zeera and hing to it. When zeera starts to splutter, add onions to it and fry till light pink in color. Add the rest of the ingredients along with rice. Add 2 cups of water. Cook till three whistles and then let the steam escape from the cooker. Add a little garam masala and serve.

From three days, the Hyderabad city along with Tamilnadu and southern parts of Andhra is facing the calamity due to rain. In city from three days we have a cloudy atmosphere with continuous dew drops of rain causing an immense inconvenience to the people. It is estimated that even on Sunday we have a rain as per the weather reports. And also said that for two more days the fog and cloudy days can be seen that reduce the temperature during the day time.

It is found that we had a rain of 7 millimeters on Saturday and the temperature got reduced to Max of 25 degree centigrade and Min of 20 degree centigrade as informed by the weather reports.

Coconut Chutney

Coconut Chutney or Nariyal Chutney is a South Indian delicacy that goes will with idli and dosa. The chief ingredients are coconut and curd which are good for health providing fibre and digestion rich enzymes. Coconut chutney keeps good for a few days when refridgerated.

Ingredients

½ cup coconut, dessicated

½ cup curd

2 tblsp chana dal

1 tblsp urad dal

1 tblsp rai

1 tblsp oil

1 green chilli

Salt to taste

Roast chana dal till light pink and grind it with coconut, curd and green chilli. Add water to obtain consistancy of your choice. Heat oil in a pan and add rai. When it starts to splutter, add urad dal to make tadka. Add this tadka to the coconut chutney along with salt to provide extra taste. Refridgerate the chutney till further use.

Tip: If the chutney solidifies on cooling, add water or even better, curd water, to obtain the consistancy of your choice.

New AC buses in City

Already 2 AC buses are running as a trail between Secunderabad to Hitec city, and the response to these Buses is encouraging to introduce 4 more buses between DilsukhNagar and Patancheru. The minimum fare for these buses is of Rs.10. Few of the Bus drivers are given a special training on How to drive these AC buses that are heavily crowded in the routes of Patancheru - Dilsukhnagar.

APSRTC is expecting good response to these buses based on the crowd that travel in these routes, which will be launched in a couple days.

SALARY accounts usually offer zero balance, free demand drafts, free international debit cards and a lot more and these are not applicable on regular savings accounts. But when you leave (the company) you leave its perks behind. A lot of people don't know this and this results in some unpleasant surprises.

One such troubled salary account holder, Geeta Rao, reveals, "I had a salary account in a leading private bank. When I left the company, I stopped using the account but did not close it either. Two whole years later, when I deposited a cheque in that account, a hefty fine was deducted for not maintaining the Rs 5,000 minimum balance. So my cheque amount of Rs 6,500 was reduced to a mere Rs 500. Apparently, my salary account had been converted into a savings without my knowledge."

So if you have a salary account, then this is what you should look out for:

- The fine print
I personally don't know anyone who reads the fine print on application forms. Yet, this small and common negligence is a big mistake. The account opening form (for salary account) of ICICI Bank clearly states that if no salary gets credited into your account for six months, the bank will convert your account into a savings account. The bank is not obliged to inform you about this.

HDFC Bank also maintains that since the agreement of salary account is between the employer and the bank they needn't inform the employee.

Not all banks have this approach. Says Sanjay Silas, VP – retail banking, UTI Bank, "The bank informs the client and the corporate in case the payroll special scheme is discontinued due to non credit of salaries."

- The charges
The biggest repercussion of your salary account getting converted to a regular savings account is the maintenance of minimum balance. If you fail to do so, the bank will levy charges.

When the pen is full of ink, there is very little space for air inside the pen, so while writing the ink gradually oozes out through the cut in the nib. This leads to a very weak vacuum inside the pen. So the outside air tries to enter the pen and holds the ink from flowing out freely. This ensures a smooth flow of ink.

As the ink runs out and when there are only a few drops of ink the air column inside the pen is no longer isolated from outside the air. Hence the outside air can enter the pen freely and there is no difference in air pressure. Thus the force acting on the ink will be only the gravitational pull and so the ink begins to drain out.

Sensex is an indicator value of BSE(Bombay Stock Exchange). This value indicates whether the stocks value of major of the companies trading in BSE has gone up or down.

Sensex is calculated by taking into account of the free capitalization of the 30 companies trading in BSE. This 30 companies selection can vary from time to time, depending on the capitalization, trade history of the company etc.

The amount required to buy all the shares of the company (Multiply the share cost with the total number of shares) is called the Market Capitalization of the company.The company shares can be hold by founder, govt, controller, directorer, etc. Some companies allow the shares to be hold by public. These shares are called free float shares and the market in which free float shares are traded is called open market. Free float capitalization (Multiply the share cost with the total number of the free float shares)of the company is the amount to buy all the free float shares of the company.

The free float shares of the 30 companies will be taken and added together. This added value will be compared with the sensex base and the sensex value will be calculated. If this sensex value is high, most of the company's share cost has gone high or else gone low.

For example if the sensex value for free float capitalization(For 30 companies) 30000000 is 5000, then the sensex value for free float capitalization(For 30 companies)40000000 is calculated by the following way.

Sensex Value = (5000/30000000)*40000000

So the new sensex value = 6666.66

Daily Water Supply from Nov 1st, 2008

A long awaited decision to supply Drinking water daily has started from Nov 1st onwards. All the necessary arrangements are taken to supply the 3.50 Lakhs connections with duration of one hour. The pipeline works as a part of RingMain-2 to supply the Krishna River water to twin cities is estimated to complete in an 8 days. With these Krishna River water, the scarcity in the city will lessen to much more extent.

It was initially decided to supply Drinking water daily to only 1.7 Lakhs connections as a on a Pilot run on an eve of Andhra Pradesh Formation day. And if very thing goes in a feasible way then rest of the connections of about 3.5 Lakhs will be supply regularly on a day to day basis instead of alternate days from November 14th onwards. Presently, the water is been supplied for more than 2 hours in a alternate days. If this regular supply of water daily begins then the water is supplied for only an hour.

If anyone has any issues and concerns regarding the daily supply of Drinking water, they can raise their queries at the numbers 040- 6687 2200, 6687 2201 and 6687 2202. These queries will be answered by The Managing Director of Water Supply Board, Mr. Ashok Kumar. In the year 1614, in the authority and supervising of Daroge Mir Faizullah Baig and Choudhary Rangaiah, the late Sultan Mohamed Quli Kuthub Shah has started its construction. Some of the evidences prove that labour of about 8,000 people have worked in the construction of Masjid. After the demise of Quli Kuthub Shah, Abdul Kuthub Shah and Abul Hasan Thanisha and have under taken the responsibility of completing the construction of the Masjid. In the year 1687, in the dynasty of Aurangazeb, the construction was completed. So, it is estimated that the construction of Masjid has taken nearly 75 years with a total cost of about Rs. 8 Lakhs in those days in a 3 acres of spacious area.

The Masjid was built with a dimension of 225 feet in length, 180 feet in width and 75 feets in height. At a height of 35 feets, we can see Arches of about 15 feet each.

After the construction in 1687 by Aurangazeb of Moughal Dynasty, the masjid was named as “Baithullah Athik”. But when the brick from Holy Mecca Masjid was placed in the masjid, the people have started calling it as “Mecca Masjid”. Thereafter, as the time passed on, the masjid became popular with the name ‘Mecca Masjid’.

Sale counters of Fireworks need permission from City Police

On the eve of Deepavali (Deewali) festival, along with the worship of Goddess Lakshmi Devi, the fireworks and crackers add a color and glory to the festival. The retail and wholesale counters of these Fireworks and Crackers can be found in all areas. As we all are aware that from couple of years, in order to avoid accidents and unexpected explosions at Firework Sale Counters, the Department of Police started taking preventive and safety measures to ensure the festival season is celebrated at merry.

On occasion of Deepavali, the sale of Fireworks and Crackers starts atleast one month before in many locations in twin cities. Considering the safety of people, the Police have announced that the Retail and Wholesale seller should take permission by proving that setting up of Sale counter in public places is no harm by ensuring all safety measures been taken.
The Police have announced that all the Retail and Wholesale seller should take permissions from them by October 4th and should assure to take all the safety measures. If anyone violates the below mentioned instructions suggested by Police, will have to face the consequences when setting up a Sales counter.

It’s a mandatory that every Retail and Wholesale counters should take the permissions from Fire Department and Police Departments.
The firework sellers should attach an Agreement letter from the House/Building owners along with GHMC permission letter.
Spacious area and Plan (Blue print) of the shop needs to be attached.
As per the instructions, only the specified amount of Fireworks needs to be stored.
Stalls and storage rooms of Fireworks and Crackers placed in an open land or spacious area are encouraged.
Shops and Stalls should keep all the Fire exhausts, sand and water at easily accessible places.
Use of Child Labor is strictly prohibited in these Stalls.
If any shop or stall does not follow properly or violates these instructions will be liable to cancellation of their permission and also attract the Legal case against them.

In view of security and traffic constraints, the Devotee to visit Lord Ganesha idol placed at Khairatabad on eve of Vinayaka Chathurdi Navaratri. These instructions are passed by the Inspector and Sub Inspector of Saifabad Police Station.

1) Only on an unavoidable necessity the devotees should not bring any Bags, Packets or any belongings with them.
2) Vehicles are not allowed near to the premises of the idol.
3) Vehicles approaching from Mint Compound road should park their vehicles in the premises of Mint Compound itself.
4) Vehicles coming through the Necklace road or Khairatabad need to park their vehicles in the Necklace road or IMAX parking area.
5) Vehicles from Punjagutta need to park their vehicles near ICICI bank or at Shadan College parking area.
6) Vehicles from Dwaraka, Rajdooth hotel should park their vehicles in the premises of Old CIB quarters.
7) Vehicles from Lakdi-Ka-Pool or Ayodhya circle should park in the Chintal Basthi area.
8) Due to parking conjunction, it is local devotees in Khairatabad area are adviced not to bring any vehicles with them.
9) All the devotees are requested to cooperate with the Police official to scrutinize them thoroughly and their belongings to ensure their own security and safety.
10) Parking allotment permission or Paid parking is not provided to anyone and also if anyone asks money as part of a Parking charges, please do inform the Police about this.

By following these instructions with smoothen the Traffic with increased Security and avoids frustrations to other devotees visiting to see the Giant idol of Lord Ganesha.

While raining, being cautious and taking the necessary safety measures when dealing with the serial lights and decorations at the Ganesh Utsav mandapam(stages) will help us all in celebrating the festival season with delight.

As we all are aware that both festival seasons of Ganesh Utsav and Ramzan came in the same period. We wish these auspicious periods of celebration and worships should proceed with Happiness and prosperous allowing everyone to share their joy with others.
But due to rains, all the serial lights or decorations at the Ganesh mandapam and Masjids need to be arranged and maintained with utmost keen observance. Official Authorities and Experts warn people to have an early precautions and safety measures that avoid any accidents or miserable incidents caused due to short circuits.

All the Masjids and Ganesh mandapas needs to arranged with a switch boards and Fuse cut-out boards with necessary measures. If they are not arranged earlier please see that those are arranged immediately to avoid circuit breakouts.
Use branded and properly insulated wires, and try to avoid the wires that are insulated with sticker tapes or has more breaks in the circuit.
Use PVC pipes for wiring and contact the right person or electrician to work on these wire circuits.
For every circuit, use the Fuse that can with stand the capacity of the electrical circuits.
Use a proper control switch for every Halogen Bulb.
All the decorations and wire circuits should be placed atleast 6 feet above the ground level.
At every main switch, see that you provide a Rubber mat and all Fire exhausts handy.
If required see that the Electrician is available at the locations who can come in a shorter time span when needed.

Khairatabad Ganesh in 2008

In 2008, as usual there is a curiosity among the devotees in Hyderabad to know about Khairatabad Ganesh. This year Khairatabad Ganesh idol is prepared as if he is sitting on a Simhasanam(Throne) after 25 years.
Devotees of Hyderabad felt Happy to find the famous Khairatabad idol sitting on his throne at long last. Devotees recall that the last time they saw the mammoth Ganesha idol sitting majestically on his simhasanam was in the year 1982. Since then the tallest Lord Ganesh idol is placed in different postures and was blessing devotees either riding his chariot with lions, mice, and horses, or standing along with other Gods.

As per my knowledge i have seen Lord Ganesha standing with Adisheshu(Multi headed Snake) covering on his head from 2004 onwards. Even this year Adisheshu is covering the Lord Ganesh's head.

Airport Authority Permissions

Untill now the builders of Twin Cities, who wanted to construct a skyscrapers were applying for No Objection certificate from Airport Authority located in Chennai or Delhi.After applying for No objection in Chennai or Delhi, the Builders were used to wait for about 6 months to 1 year depending upon the number of pending files with the Authority to give permissions.

But from now onwards there is no need to send the applications to either Chennai or Delhi, as those applications are now available for download at websites www.aai.aero or www.airports.aero.So, with this new facility Builders can expect their permission to be granted much sooner than before.

Mr .Sharma informed the newspapers that any changes or corrections in the Voter cards or Voter lists can be brought to the notice of Election Commission by this month end. The Final list of voters is announced in September 15th and also displayed in the website www.ghmc.gov.in

Volunteers rescue snakes them from snake charmers on the occasion of Nagapanchami

Volunteers from Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh, Blue Cross, Sahayog Organisation, Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Society, Prani Mitra Ramesh Jagirdar Memorial Society, Abhay Go Sewa Sansthan and Friends of Snakes are the associations working together to protect Animal in Twin cities. They have rescued nearly 50 snakes of various types from snake charmers in Twin cities.
Recently these all organisations have conducted a attacks in Twin cities, the volunteers have divided themselves in various teams and spread out to various parts of the city to save Animals, Snakes and Birds from people who sell them or provide them on a Rent basis for Rs.500.

On a name of sacred worships and entertaining the people, few snake charmers as a part of their livelihood, they make a business or earn money by playing the Monkeys, Snakes and also parrots in streets and also harass them by stitching their mouth, enclosing in cage and feed them irregularly.

Joshi representing People for Animal and Mahesh representing Sahyog Organisation informed that - if anyone sees any activity of harassing these Animals as a Business they can inform these Animal Activists through a phone numbers - 9849993374, 040-27537540.

The rescued animals which were freed from torture, after their recovery, would be segregated based on their types and then the Forest Department personnel would set them free in their natural habitat.
